Educational Law Attorney

We are working with a a growing defense firm, looking for an Educational Law Attorney to join their team. Specifically, they are looking for someone who has 2+ years of Education Law experience.Requirements:2+ years of education law experience1+ years of litigation experienceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to meet client needsImpeccable written, verbal and advocacy skills with a high level of attention to detailJD from an accredited law school and excellent academic credentialsLicensed and in good standing in the state of IllinoisResponsibilities:Representing families or districts in disputes over Individualized Education Programs and accommodations.Handling suspension, expulsion, and harassment cases.Advising districts on policy development, liability, and compliance with federal and state laws.Managing union negotiations, teacher grievances, and employee contracts.Representing parties in court regarding civil rights issues like student speech or search and seizureThe annual salary for this position is between 130k-160k.
