Sales Representative will be responsible for achieving quarterly revenue and unit goals in their territory.A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Conduct sales calls to promote and sell Medtronic Cardiac Surgical Therapies to existing and competitive customers based on a strategic planDevelop, implement, and effectively follow through with a quarterly strategic sales plan to achieve sales goals and objectivesCreate a detailed forecast with customer commitments as a measure of successIdentify, qualify, and close new and existing customers consistent with established sales plans and key accountsMaximize revenue potential by targeting specific customers to gain sales leads and develop business opportunities to drive growthDevelop and maintain a high-level of expertise in Cardiac Surgical Therapies productsProvide feedback and information on competitive activity, changes in markets, distribution and pricingIdentify and communicate to other departments (i.e. R&D, Operations, and Marketing) suggestions for new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications based upon customer needs and requirementsCoordinate customer activities at all assigned meetingsTrain and educate customers on the safe and effective use of Medtronic productsComplete all administrative reporting accurately; in a timely manner and in the requested format (i.e. expense reports, account profiles and analysis, daily planners, weekly activity, competitive updates, and inventory log)Manage time, assets and resources in a cost effective manner; manage territory budget in accordance with the strategic territory plan and within the guidelines of the Regional ManagerMaintain adequate inventory (trunk stock) and assist in the reallocation and delivery of productMaintain knowledge of current industry trends and all Medtronic products. Keep updated on the products and strategies of competitive companiesParticipate in sales training as requiredMust Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree5 years medical industry sales experience (selling physician preference products) in hospital environment with 3 years selling to interventional cardiology or cardiac surgeonsNice to HavePreference will be given to local qualified candidates and candidates with Medtronic experienceExperience selling to surgeonsExperience selling in the Cardiac operating roomTrack record of success in high pressure, selling environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding selling and negotiation skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively forecast for resultsAbility to successfully plan and mange accountsAbility to develop and successfully follow through with a strategic planIf the candidate has10 years medical industry sales experience (selling physician preference products) in hospital environment with 8 years selling to interventional cardiology or cardiac surgeons, then the position may be filled at the Principal levelAbout MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
