HCLTech is seeking We are seeking an experienced Hardware Electronics Engineer with strong expertise in industrial or automotive embedded electronics design. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of system and component‑level design, analog and digital circuit analysis, and automotive safety and compliance requirements, with the ability to contribute across multiple engineering domains.Role: Hardware Electronics Design Engineer Location: Auburn Hills, MI-OnsiteJob ID- 99369Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop embedded hardware electronics for automotive or industrial applications.Contribute to system and component‑level architecture, ensuring robust and safe hardware designs.Perform analog and digital circuit design, analysis, and validation.Participate in and lead schematic and PCB layout design reviews.Support EMI/EMC‑aware design, testing, and troubleshooting.Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to ensure safety and reliability.Execute circuit simulations using tools such as LTSpice or equivalent.Conduct worst‑case circuit analysis to validate design robustness (preferred).Support thermal management analysis for ECU and embedded electronic systems.Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure design alignment with system requirements.Required QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronic, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.Master’s degree is a plus.Experience in industrial or automotive hardware electronics design (Tier‑1 experience preferred).Strong understanding of embedded electronics design constraints.Solid knowledge of system/component design and EE architecture topologies.Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit analysis.Familiarity with vehicle communication buses:Ethernet (ETH)CAN / CAN FDLINLVDSExperience using bus communication diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.Knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles, testing, and issue resolution.Familiarity with thermal considerations and heat management in ECU embedded electronics.Pay and BenefitsPay Range Minimum: $71000 per yearPay Range Maximum: $108000 per yearHCLTech is an equal opportunity employer, committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees regardless of race, religion, sex, color, age, national origin, pregnancy, sexual orientation, physical disability or genetic information, military or veteran status, or any other protected classification, in accordance with federal, state, and/or local law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
