Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (Hiring Immediately)

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Summary Delivers patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, in full compliance with the State Practice Act. Applies specialized training to help implement and carry out prescribed treatment programs that improve patient mobility, function, and quality of life. Essential Functions Follow state Practice Act rules for PTA practice and supervision requirements. Review company Clinical Policies & Procedures Manual annually and comply fully. Complete all required Medicare compliance training. Complete annual OSHA training and adhere to safety standards. Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment per OSHA guidelines. Perform skilled interventions and treatment programs as directed by the supervising PT. Report patient responses, comments, and progress clearly (verbal or written) to the therapist. Document care using standard medical terminology and format. Complete daily notes, charge tickets, and other documentation legibly, accurately, and on time to meet deadlines. Maintain professional, respectful communication with team members, physicians, patients, families, and payers at all times. Attend required facility meetings (e.g., utilization review, infection control, emergency preparedness). Complete continuing education to meet state licensure renewal requirements. Maintain current CPR certification compliant with state standards. Additional Responsibilities Use time efficiently to meet or exceed productivity expectations. Participate in and deliver clinical in-services as assigned. Stay informed about healthcare trends and developments in physical therapy. Take ownership of designated center operations as agreed with the Center Manager. Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Solid organizational, time management, and planning abilities. Active listening, reading, and comprehension skills for reviewing charts, reports, and correspondence. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and transfer patients using proper body mechanics; must independently lift up to 50 pounds. Constantly walk, bend, stand, reach, and squat during the workday/shift. Adequate near and distant vision to maintain records, recognize individuals, and follow written directions. Sufficient hearing and speech to understand instructions and communicate clearly. Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility and community. Fine motor coordination for scheduling, patient preparation, and handling equipment/supplies. Sustain prolonged physical activity in compliance with state labor laws. Required Credentials: • Graduation from a physical therapist assistant or physical therapist education program accredited by CAPTE or in the case of a graduate of an international physical therapist assistant program or international physical therapist program from a non-CAPTE accredited program seeking licensure, certification, or registration as a physical therapist assistant, a substantially equivalent education • Current valid State license/registration/certification
