American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Roanoke, Virginia.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cath Lab TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 06/08/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x10hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Jun 8, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab Tech for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring Epic proficiency and hands-on experience with advanced structural heart and interventional procedures.DetailsAdult patient population with a daily census of 15–20 across 6 state-of-the-art procedure roomsCommon diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and atrial septal defect/patent foramen ovale closuresAdvanced procedures include TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, renal denervation, and research protocolsEquipment includes IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUSEpic EMR experience is required4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, plus call obligationsEach clinician is expected to take 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts per 6-week period; one full weekend of call (Fri–Sun) must be scheduled together, with remaining weekday call shifts (Mon–Thu) taken individually throughout the cycleOne Saturday shift for elective cases is required per 6-week periodClinicians must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when on callOne holiday shift or call per 13-week contract, in rotation with staffCandidates must not reside within the facility's radius restriction to be eligible for this positionRequirementsMinimum experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings using fluoroscopyProficiency with cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temp pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and MitraclipSkills in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocolsCurrent ACLS and BLS requiredARRT(R) or CCI RCIS required; if ARRT(R), a Virginia state license is preferred — any active state license (in hand or pending) is accepted, as Virginia grants emergency authorization to travelers while their permanent VA license processes; CCI RCIS does not require a state license — license required if applicableKnowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply managementFirst-time travelers will not be considered for this positionPDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for considerationTwo professional references required for considerationAdditional InformationThe facility is an acute care teaching hospital, Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and a certified stroke centerNationally recognized for cardiac cath lab excellence with American College of Cardiology accreditation for PCI proceduresSupported by a multidisciplinary team with adjacent cardiac surgery and hybrid ORsLocal candidates are not accepted for this positionAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-707938.
