The Project Manager is a critical part of that standard, serving as the operational hub that keeps multidisciplinary land teams aligned, accountable, and delivering at a high level.Position SummaryAs a Project Manager at Halo, you lead complex land service projects from kickoff through closeout. You coordinate abstracting, GIS, heirship, curative, right of way, and leasing workstreams across multiple regions, clients, and timelines.You translate scope into action, protect quality, anticipate risks, and communicate clearly with both internal team leads and external stakeholders. You bring structure to fast moving projects, keep documentation clean and current, and ensure deliverables are client ready.The ideal candidate is organized, decisive, calm under pressure, and comfortable leading remote teams with clarity and consistency.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution and Delivery• Lead day to day execution of land service projects including title, GIS, leasing, right of way, heirship, and curative• Own project scope, deliverables, timelines, and quality standards across one or more clients• Build and maintain delivery plans, task trackers, and workback schedules to hit key milestones• Review work product for completeness, formatting, and alignment with client expectationsTeam Leadership and Coordination• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including abstractors, landmen, GIS analysts, and legal reviewers• Assign workloads, rebalance priorities, and remove blockers to keep production moving• Facilitate stand ups, progress reviews, and handoffs so workstreams stay connected• Provide clear direction and follow through so team members understand expectations and deadlinesClient Communication and Reporting• Communicate proactively with clients through status updates, issue summaries, and milestone reporting• Provide early warnings when risks emerge and propose clear mitigation plans• Serve as the primary point of contact for project execution questions and delivery alignment• Prepare project briefs and performance updates for internal leadership syncsDocumentation, Systems, and Process Management• Oversee documentation systems, digital trackers, and version controlled portals• Ensure notes, files, and artifacts are organized, searchable, and audit ready• Maintain delivery checklists, templates, and reporting standards to support consistency• Improve workflows by documenting repeatable processes and tightening handoffsRisk, Issue, and Quality Management• Escalate title issues, data gaps, or delays and coordinate with legal and curative to resolve them• Identify trends in defects or rework and implement corrective actions• Confirm GIS and title alignment when updates occur and coordinate reconciliation across teams• Protect delivery quality while moving at pace in high volume environmentsPerformance, Budget, and Metrics• Track timelines, throughput, and performance metrics, adjusting plans as needed• Support budget awareness through workload forecasting, prioritization, and reporting• Monitor client specific KPIs and ensure reporting reflects accurate progress and statusWhat Success Looks LikeMilestones help ensure each Project Manager is supported and developing as expected.Within 30 Days• Understand current client scopes, deliverables, and reporting expectations• Gain access to tools, trackers, and SOPs and know where to locate resources quickly• Shadow an active project lifecycle and learn Halo’s standard delivery rhythms• Run or co run stand ups and begin managing task trackers with accuracy• Deliver at least one client status update that is clear, timely, and actionableWithin 90 Days• Independently manage one or more active projects with minimal oversight• Keep timelines stable through consistent prioritization, follow up, and escalation• Catch risks early and communicate mitigation plans before deadlines slip• Ensure work product is client ready through routine quality checks and clear feedback loops• Build trust with client stakeholders through predictable reporting and responsivenessWithin 6 Months• Manage multiple workstreams across disciplines without handoffs being missed• Improve team efficiency by tightening processes, templates, and reporting cadence• Reduce rework by identifying quality trends and correcting upstream issues• Confidently coordinate title, GIS, and curative issue resolution with clear ownership• Produce leadership ready project briefs that highlight progress, risks, and next stepsWithin 12 Months• Operate as a go to project leader across clients and internal teams• Maintain strong performance metrics across delivery speed, quality, and communication• Mentor newer project managers or team leads on Halo’s execution standards• Contribute to scalable systems that keep projects consistent as Halo growsTop Abilities• Operational leadership and self management. Uses trackers, portals, and version control correctly so work stays clean and auditableKey Attributes and Behaviors• Confident, respectful communicator with strong follow through• Detail focused and quality minded without losing pace• Proactive and solutions oriented when issues arise• Calm and steady when priorities shift• Team minded, transparent, and collaborative across functionsRequired Qualifications• 5 + years of experience in land services project management or comparable energy or infrastructure coordination• Strong understanding of title, leasing, curative, GIS, and or right of way workflows• Proven experience managing remote teams across multiple disciplines• Proficiency with project tracking tools such as Excel, Smartsheet, Monday, Airtable, Asana, or similar• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in internal and client settings• Working knowledge of land and title concepts including mineral ownership, leasehold, and curative processes• Comfort operating in a fast paced, high volume project environmentPreferred Qualifications• Experience managing land projects in the Appalachian Basin, Permian, or MidCon• Background in abstracting, legal review, right of way acquisition, or leasing• Familiarity with GIS data integration, shapefile management, or title mapping workflows• Experience presenting updates to senior client stakeholders or regulatory facing teamsCulture FitYou will thrive here if you value clarity, accountability, and strong communication.
