Industrial I&C Field Engineer – Data Center Project (Contract)Industrial I&C Field Engineer supporting a large-scale mission-critical data center construction project in Childress, TX. This is a 12-month contract role with strong potential for extension or transition to future data center projects upon completion.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role focuses on controls, instrumentation, and electrical coordination for large-scale industrial systems. You’ll support control strategy development, PLC/HMI programming support, FAT/SAT execution, commissioning/startup, field troubleshooting, and multidisciplinary coordination across engineering, vendors, and construction teams.Preferred ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent field experience Minimum 5+ years of industrial controls, construction, or field engineering experience Strong background in process controls systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) Experience supporting large industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects Working knowledge of instrumentation principles (calibration, signal types, control loops) Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, electrical schematics, and control drawings Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities in the field Strong troubleshooting and hands-on field engineering capability Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with document control systems Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple disciplinesPreferred ExperienceData center, semiconductor, or mission-critical facility experience Hydronic or process cooling system controls experience Modular plant or packaged systems integration experiencePosition DetailsLocation: Childress, TX Duration: 12-month contract (extension/transition likely) Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K (no match), PTO, several other perks.Schedule: 40 hours/weekweek
