Lifeguard

Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director and/or Head Lifeguard. Enforce safety regulations for the protection of pool patrons; make suggestions for new or updated regulations; assist in general maintenance and perform other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Director. Responsibilities:- Responsible for lifeguarding programs at the facility including but not limited to recreational swimming, academic classes, swim team, swim club and rec programs- Attend staff, departmental, or university employee training as assigned- Attend certification or re-certification programs as needed to meet the minimum requirements for employment.- Assist in the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility Qualifications Qualifications Must be a currently enrolled USC Upstate student. Must participate in required training conducted by the Spartan Rec Center. Satisfactory completion of training provided by the Spartan Rec Staff.
