Flux Resources is seeking a Senior Quality Control Associate (Sr. QC Associate) for one of our clients in Richmond Virginia. The Senior QC Associate is an experienced field based role responsible for executing and supporting the Quality Control Program (QCP) on government construction projects. This is a Direct-Hire opportunity paying $125K+. This position plays a key role in planning, inspections, documentation, and coordination with Site Operations teams, subcontractors, and clients.The Senior QC Associate supports the Quality Control Manager and may execute the QCP independently on assigned projects. This role acts as a liaison between the project team and client representatives to ensure quality standards, contract requirements, and federal compliance are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control ExecutionExecute the Quality Control Program (QCP) for assigned projectsParticipate in the Planning Phase by aligning QC expectations with Site Operations teamsDevelop and maintain Features of Work (FOW) tied to project schedulesDevelop site specific QC Programs for small to mid-sized projects and submit for reviewPrepare Preparatory and Initial meeting agendas and inspection templates for each FOWInspections & Field OversightExecute the four phases of control (Planning, Preparatory, Initial, and Inspections)Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections with subcontractors and vendorsInspect incoming materials for submittal compliance and proper storageOversee superintendent inspections and perform independent inspections as neededIdentify, document, and track deficiencies and non-conformance itemsDocumentation & ComplianceMaintain accurate and complete QC documentation for all assigned projectsSchedule and monitor third-party inspections and testingCollect, review, and track inspection and test reportsEnsure safe work practices are incorporated throughout the QCPProactively notify responsible parties of quality issues and corrective actionsCoordination & CommunicationInterface with project managers and superintendents to align QC deliverablesAttend project progress meetings and client meetings as requiredProvide regular QC status updates to the Quality Control ManagerAct as a liaison between the client and Site Operations teams regarding QC mattersCloseout & Commissioning SupportCoordinate QC support for startup and commissioning documentationAssist with field equipment inspections as neededSupport the development of final punch lists and project closeout documentationEnsure QC deliverables are complete and compliant at project closeoutQualificationsActive USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) certification(or inactive certification that can be refreshed within 3 months of hire)OSHA-30 certification (or within 3 months of hire)Demonstrated experience developing and executing site-specific QC ProgramsStrong understanding of the four phases of controlProficiency with Procore and/or Cx Alloy for QC documentationWorking knowledge of CSA and MEP disciplinesKnowledge of applicable building codes, NFPA-70E, and the NECProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong written, verbal, and organizational skillsSolid document control and reporting capabilities
