This role offers an opportunity to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in home health care within a well-established home health setting serving Transylvania County, including Brevard, NC. This contract position focuses on delivering quality care to patients in their homes, supporting both nursing and hospice needs along with therapy collaboration.Location:Brevard, NC, nestled in Transylvania County, is known for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant community. Surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, the area offers a serene lifestyle with close proximity to outdoor activities such as hiking, waterfalls, and cultural attractions.Responsibilities:Provide skilled nursing care to 5-6 home health patients daily, offering both medical and hospice support as neededPerform thorough assessments and develop personalized care plans compliant with established home health protocolsUtilize electronic documentation systems to accurately record patient care and progressCollaborate with therapy staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient supportMaintain adherence to professional dress code (navy or navy/white scrubs for nursing)Use reliable transportation for patient home visits throughout the service areaWork Monday through Friday during day shifts to accommodate patient schedulesQualifications/Desired Experience:Active RN licensure with proven home health nursing experienceFamiliarity with hospice care and providing therapy support in a home health setting is highly preferredCompetence in using electronic health record systems (HCHB preferred)Reliable vehicle for travel to patient homesStrong communication and patient-centered care skillsAdditional Details:Dress code: Nursing staff required to wear navy or navy/white scrubs; therapy staff may dress business casualWork in a supportive team environment with experienced staff and opportunities to contribute to a highly regarded home health branch that serves approximately 100 patientsContract assignment with potential flexibility in scheduling
