Rebuild Service Technician

The Engine Rebuild Technician is responsible for the set-up, disassembly/re-assembly, overhaul, and rebuild of Caterpillar and allied diesel and natural gas powered industrial engines and related components. This is an intermediate level skilled trade position working independently and/or with guidance from service mentors in a shop-based production-style environment. The position reports to the Service Supervisor. Perform disassembly, inspection, rebuilding and/or re-assembly of diesel and natural gas powered industrial engine systems and components, including but not limited to powertrain pumps, motors, and hydraulics components) in accordance with all prescribed quality and safety standards. Research and determine reusability of parts in accordance with published manufacturer guidelines. Coordinate the ordering of replacement parts with designated point of contact. Test, measure, and adjust engine systems and components.
