The Lead Operator has a very significant impact on the overall safety and environmental impact on the plant, operating the plant in a safe, environmentally sound, and profitable manner. The Lead Operator is to maintain all parameters of the unit from feeding the various feed streams into the unit to the production of various grades of sulfuric acid. We are not offering relocation or visa sponsorship for this role at this time. We are not working with agencies on this role at this time. What You Will Be DoingPerform the LOTO for all of the unit’s maintenance itemsAttend and contribute to regular monthly safety meetingsImplement the STOP WORK POLICYReview, follow, and in some cases write job proceduresReport and mitigate any leaks, spills, or fugitive emissionsPerform inspections on all equipment and log the findings of those inspectionsComply with the CAR SEAL PROGRAMMaintaining unit parameters according to all unit permitsWork in 12-hour rotating shiftsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; equivalent combinations of education and experience acceptedCertified vibration analyst I, TIG welding, and a journeyman millwrightDCS operation/PLC operationBasic math and mechanical aptitudeDemonstrated safe behavior and ability to follow proceduresProven knowledge of pressures, process flows, and temperatureRotating 12-hour shifts
