This position ensures baggage is properly routed between terminals, aircraft, and baggage claim areas while maintaining strict adherence to safety, security, and operational standards. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.RESPONSIBILITIESTransport baggage safely and efficiently between aircraft, terminals, and baggage handling areasHandle passenger luggage with care to prevent damageAssist in loading and unloading baggage from aircraft in accordance with airline proceduresOperate baggage carts, tugs, and transport equipment safely and effectivelyVerify baggage tags and ensure correct routing to appropriate flightsAssist in sorting and organizing baggage in the baggage claim and processing areasRespond promptly and professionally to baggage-related passenger inquiriesCoordinate with baggage handling teams to ensure efficient workflow and on-time departuresReport baggage discrepancies, damage, or security concerns immediatelyAdhere to all airport safety, security, and operational protocolsMaintain cleanliness and organization in baggage handling areasAssist in baggage scanning and security screening procedures as requiredSupport tracing and recovery efforts for lost, delayed, or misrouted baggageWork in various weather conditions and adjust to operational schedule changesCollaborate effectively with airline personnel and airport staff to ensure timely baggage deliverySupport and promote the company's Safety Management System (SMS) initiativesReport safety hazards, incidents, and near misses in accordance with SMS proceduresExceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONS18 years of age or olderMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.Must hold a valid driver's license.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMinimum of 1 year of customer service experience preferredAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including use of tablets, computers, and mobile devicesAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers in person and electronicallyEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operational environmentTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
