Fire Sprinkler Fitter
**Requisition ID: 178943****Position Summary**We're looking for experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitters - from advanced-level apprentices to skilled journeymen - to join our team in Abilene, TX. In this role, you'll install, assemble, and test fire sprinkler piping and related components using engineering and architectural plans. Your hands-on experience and technical skill will play an important role in providing quality life-safey systems that protect buildings and the people in them.**Experience Level**Intermediate to Skilled**Primary Responsibilities and Duties**+ Read and interpret engineering/design, architectural, and structural blueprints+ Plan pipe system layout, installation, and repair according to specifications+ Select and prepare pipe, fittings, supports, hangers, and related materials+ Cut, fit, and connect piping using threaded, soldered, brazed, and grooved methods+ Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently+ Inspect, test, and verify installed systems using pressure gauges or other methods+ Install hydraulic components such as pumps+ Complete required reports, including time, progress, materials, subcontractor work, and other job‐related documentation**Qualifications**+ High school diploma or equivalent+ Working knowledge of tools, equipment, and tasks associated with pipefitting+ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions+ Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members+ Safe and efficient operation of hand tools, power tools, and layout tools**Requirements**+ Ability to meet all physical requirements of the position+ Willingness to climb and work at heights (up to 200 ft) or in confined spaces+ Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions+ Willingness to work overtime and weekends based on workload+ Commitment to all safety policies and procedures+ Must pass a pre‐employment drug screenAll candidates offered a position must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.Company: Aero_Craft
