Sr. Business Analyst – Data & ReportingConsulting – 6-9 monthsSettings: RemoteNo C2CStart asapWe are seeking a highly collaborative and technically strong Business Analyst to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the Data Engineering team. This individual will partner closely with cross-functional business leaders to gather and document requirements, translate business needs into functional and technical specifications, and support the successful delivery of reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in both business and technical environments- able to understand operational challenges, map future-state processes, communicate effectively with engineering teams, and validate solutions before rollout to end users.Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for reporting, analytics, process improvements, and data initiativesTranslate business needs into clear functional requirements, process maps, user stories, and technical specifications for Data Engineering teamsServe as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure alignment throughout project executionCollaborate with Data Engineering teams on data mapping, reporting logic, master data structures, and system/process enhancementsValidate completed work through testing, QA, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure requirements are met accuratelySupport deployment and adoption by training stakeholders and explaining how to utilize new reports, dashboards, and processesIdentify gaps, inconsistencies, and process inefficiencies within existing reporting and operational workflowsAssist in the creation of documentation, SOPs, reporting definitions, and process workflowsSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reporting accuracy, and data integrityQualifications7+ years of experience in Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar cross-functional rolesStrong experience working between business stakeholders and technical/data engineering teamsAbility to gather requirements and convert them into actionable technical documentationExperience with process mapping, workflow design, and business process improvementStrong understanding of ERP systems and enterprise data structuresHands-on experience with: SAP domains / SAP master data, Power BI, SQLData validation and reporting toolsExperience supporting reporting and analytics initiatives in operational, finance, supply chain, or commercial environments preferredAdditionally: Experience working in Agile or project-based environmentsFamiliarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting architectureExperience supporting enterprise reporting or BI transformationsExposure to master data governance and data quality initiativesFull-time employees are also eligible for benefits options such as health coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401k benefits.At Advanced Group, our commitment to diversity and inclusion in every part of our organization is crucial to fulfilling our mission and demonstrating our REAL values.
