For immediate consideration, please connect with me on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/dpotapenko and then email your resume, work authorization status, current location, availability, and compensation expectations directly to denis.potapenko@systemone.com - make sure to include the exact job title and job location in your email message.  *** no C2C with 3rd parties - W2 candidates only*** not looking for any junior profiles - need at least 8-10+ years of full time experience after graduation*** The list of the details that we need from you is below the job descriptionPosition for a Senior Business Systems Analyst - Retail Merchandising Applications :- The role involves analyzing functional and technical requirements, validating complex data flows, and ensuring the accuracy of financial, forecasting, and planning metrics for a system that integrates with SQL Server, Databricks, Azure services, Snowflake, and multiple internal and external web services. - Elicit, analyze, challenge, and refine business requirements while ensuring technical solutions fully align with business objectives. - Bridge business stakeholders and development teams, serving as a quality gate from requirement definition through testing and delivery. - Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements. - Facilitate workshops and working sessions to understand business processes, goals, and pain points. - Translate business needs into clear, testable, and traceable requirements (user stories, functional specs, process flows). - Proactively identify gaps, inconsistencies, and undefined scenarios, challenge assumptions, edge cases, and business rules constructively. - Recommend improvements based on best practices, and ensure requirements are complete before development begins. - Collaborate with development teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements. - Review technical designs and implemented solutions for alignment with business expectations. - Challenge developers when delivered functionality misses requirements or edge cases. - Serve as a quality gate between business expectations and technical delivery. - Define, document, and review comprehensive test scenarios and cases based on requirements. - Participate in test planning and execution, including functional testing and UAT. - Perform hands-on validation of system functionality; identify, document, and help resolve defects. - Act as a trusted advisor to business and technical teams; communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences. - Provide regular updates on requirement status, risks, and gaps, and facilitate cross-functional alignment.Required Qualifications :- Business Analyst and QA/testing experience. - Experience working on projects for retailers / retail companies, specifically merchandising, retail pricing, or supply chain systems. - Hands-on test case creation, execution, and validation. - Strong documentation skills (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, test cases). - Ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders at all levels. - Experience with data-intensive solutions; proficiency with SQL and large data structures. For immediate consideration, please connect with me on LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/dpotapenko and then email your resume, work authorization status, current location, availability, and compensation expectations directly to denis.potapenko@systemone.com - make sure to include the exact job title and job location in your email message..#M1.Ref: #404-IT Pittsburgh
