Senior CAS Accountant – Remote | Multi-Client Accounting

This is a fully remote team with strong growth potential as the organization continues to scale.About the RoleThe client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support multiple clients in a fast-paced, client-facing accounting environment. This is not a traditional corporate accounting role—this position focuses on managing multiple sets of books while working directly with business owners to ensure accurate financials and strong operational support.In this role, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across several clients, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and month-end close. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing financial insights and maintaining high standards of accuracy and documentation.Key responsibilities include:Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple clients (ideally 5+ sets of books)Perform month-end close, including reconciliations and financial reportingMaintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks OnlineConduct account reconciliations and variance analysisCommunicate directly with business owners to provide updates and financial insightsMaintain strong documentation and audit-ready financial recordsSupport and mentor junior accounting staff as neededContribute to process improvements and scalable accounting practicesThis is a fully remote position with strong growth potential into an Accounting Manager role as the company continues to expand.Please note: Candidates may be located in most U.S. states, but the client is unable to consider candidates based in California, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts, or Connecticut.RequirementsCore Qualifications5+ years of full-cycle accounting experienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experienceStrong month-end close experienceExperience in multi-entity or client-based accounting environmentsProficiency with QuickBooks Online; daily use requiredStrong reconciliation and variance analysis skillsHigh level of documentation disciplineExperience mentoring or reviewing junior accounting staffPreferred BackgroundExperience in Client Accounting Services (CAS), bookkeeping firms, or outsourced accounting environmentsExperience managing multiple clients or sets of books simultaneouslyBackground supporting small to mid-sized businessesCore CompetenciesStrong communication skills and comfort working directly with business ownersHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlinesDetail-oriented with a high level of accuracyAbility to work independently in a remote environment
