Augusta, Maine: A respected regional medical center invites an Emergency Medicine Physician to join a large, collegial team providing care across two Emergency Departments (20 minutes apart) in central Maine. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a supportive environment with strong specialty backup, flexible scheduling, and a balanced workload.Join a team of 35 physicians and 2 PAs delivering care across a combined annual volume of approximately 58,000 visits. You will practice in both a hospital-based Emergency Department in Augusta and a free-standing Emergency Department in nearby Waterville, offering variety in clinical setting and patient flow.Scheduling is built around 9-hour shifts and an average workweek of 32 hours, supporting a sustainable pace and strong work/life balance. Both Emergency Departments operate 24/7, with comprehensive clinical support from more than 250 physicians, including Adult and Pediatric Hospitalist teams.Physicians who are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine will receive priority attention. Physicians trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with relevant Emergency Department experience are encouraged to apply.
