CNC Operator
Position Summary:
Safely and efficiently setup and operate CNC Mills and Lathes to produce high quality products per drawing specifications and written instructions.
Key Skills and Competencies:
1-3 years setting up and operating CNC mills and Lathe required.
Familiarity with Okuma, Makino and Fanuc machines and controls preferred.
Forklift experience a plus.
Must possess strong math skills, including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and trigonometry.
Understanding in blue print reading/geometric tolerance interpretation.
Basic understanding of Geometric Tolerancing
Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Responsible for operation, loading and unloading material and parts, verifying programs, operating controls, deburring and inspection of parts for conformance to documented requirements.
Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Ensure production rates are met.
Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality of production. Reports all machine malfunctions to Management.
Communicates with Management, Production Control, Quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean, orderly, and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
Suggest and implement improvements.
Communicates all production related items to the next shift personnel or Shift Supervisor.
Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations.
May perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Shift hours:
Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday with the opportunity for overtime when the work load permits.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
