Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Overview
In this role you will contribute to radio development and advanced research initiatives within a Software Engineering team. You will work across the system stack, including drivers, networking, encryption, and security features, on a hybrid schedule with on-site days. You will address performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams. ResponsibilitiesImplement MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing componentsDevelop network management software and web interfacesImplement security protocols and encryption algorithmsAudio streaming and push-to-talk voice app developmentEnhance security and robustness to meet standards (e.g., NIST FIPS 140-3, NIAP CC)Create testing software for performance and reliabilityDevelop device drivers and BSPs for ARM and RISC-VLinux system customization and scripting
Key requirementsBS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent5+ years of embedded software experienceExpertise in C programmingExperience with Linux kernel driver developmentU.S. Citizen; background check clearance requiredSecurity protocols and encryption algorithms (CNSA)Socket programming and Internet/Ethernet protocolsUnderstanding of MAC and networking layersBSP development for AMD UltraScale+, MPSoC, and Microchip PolarfireIPsec (Internet Protocol Security)Linux Interrupt Service Routine development
