This individual will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, purchasing, and tracking materials, equipment, and services. This position works directly with engineering, production, and suppliers to prevent shortages, resolve delivery issues, and maintain reliable supply for product builds. The right candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable communicating with vendors through the day to keep projects moving.Responsibilities• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with supplies, conducting regular performance reviews based on cost, quality, and service.• Prepare, process, and track purchase orders and requisitions for raw materials, services, and equipment.• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to minimize costs and maximize value.• Establish and maintain materials management systems.• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal departments to align purchasing with demand.• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and potential supply chain disruptions.• Ensure compliance with company, local, and federal regulations; maintain accurate records of purchases and invoices.Qualifications• 4+ years of experience in procurement in a manufacturing environment• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills• Ability to work across multiple projects and priorities• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)• Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive• Experience in a manufacturing environment• Familiarity with electrical industry (preferred)• Ability to read bills of material or technical drawings (preferred)• Degree in business, supply chain, or related field
