Operations Manager

Position SummaryB&P Packing Company is seeking an Operations Manager to serve as a key member of our management team. This position is responsible for coordinating farming, harvesting, production, maintenance, inventory, food safety, and customer requirements to ensure the successful execution of company objectives.Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain planting and harvesting schedules based on customer demand and sales forecasts.Coordinate crop production activities with farm personnel, outside growers, and harvest operations.Work closely with production, maintenance, and food safety teams to ensure efficient operations and consistent product quality.Monitor crop conditions, harvest timing, yields, and inventory levels while communicating operational updates to management and customers.Assist with purchasing and inventory management for seed, packaging, parts, supplies, and other operational needs.Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.Support budgeting, cost control, operational planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with regulatory compliance, food safety programs, audits, and employee safety initiatives.Coordinate operational activities across departments to ensure customer commitments are met.QualificationsValid California Driver's License.Management experience in agriculture, food processing, produce operations, manufacturing, or a related field.Working knowledge of crop production, harvesting operations, agricultural equipment, and current farming practices.Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and growers.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
