Material Control Clerk

Material Control ClerkThis warehouse associate will support daily warehouse operations within the physical logistics area, including receiving materials, storing inventory, performing parts counting, repackaging items and preparing shipments for both internal and external customers. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to keep materials moving efficiently. This position requires compliance with all safety procedures and meeting established standards for quality, quantities and deadlines.Responsibilities include:Physically receive all incoming materials into the plant (excluding heavy machinery)Verify shipments for accuracy, condition, and documentationProcess incoming items into the inventory system and ensure proper labelingMaterial Storage & Inventory Management:Store materials in designated locations following proper organization methodsPerform and verify physical inventory counts - Maintain accurate inventory levels of all itemsApply 5S principles to keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and audit-readyUse KANBAN and FIFO systems to maintain efficient material flowMaterial Movement & Internal Support:Transfer and deliver materials, components, and parts to internal customersCoordinate and assist with internal teams such as Quality and RequestorsOperate warehouse tools such as scanners, computers, pallet jacks and forkliftsShipping & Outbound Processing:Prepare and ship finished products to customersShip spare parts to repair vendors and subcontractorsLearn and support import/export processesSafety & Quality:Maintain safe work practices and follow all plant safety proceduresEnsure all warehouse tasks meet company quality standardsYour profile:High School diploma1-2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handlingStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to lift and move materials as requiredGood communication and teamwork skillsPrinciples of quality, safety, etc.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge and experience in SAP MRP system is desirableLean logistics principles (kanban, FIFO, etc.)This role will work on site in Roseville, CA. This position generally works Monday-Friday, additional hours as necessary. Indefinite US work authorized individuals only.
