Executive Director - Data Governance

Overview:We are seeking a senior leader to define and scale enterprise-wide data management and governance practices. This role is responsible for establishing standards, frameworks, and operating models that improve how data is leveraged.Key Responsibilities:Define and implement enterprise-wide data management standardsBuildout and improve data governance frameworkDefine accountability models for data ownershipAlign stakeholders across a highly matrixed organizationEmbed governance practices into engineering and product workflowsStandardize processes across data life cycleImprove data usability, quality, and trust across the organizationPartner cross-functionally to meet regulatory expectationsImplement data controls and governance mechanisms that scaleSupport audit readiness and continuous improvement of governance practicesEstablish KPIs, dashboards, and metricsProvide actionable insights to leadership on data risk and prioritiesRequirements:8-10+ years in data governance, data management, or related disciplinesExperience building enterprise data frameworks and governance programsStrong cross-functional leadership (engineering, product, business)Knowledge of regulatory environments and data policiesStrong communication, influence, and program leadership skills
