Title: Mechanical Engineer - Automation and Machine DesignLocation: Nashville Metropolitan Area - McEwen, TN (approximately 60 miles west of Nashville)Hire Type: Direct HireCompensation: 70-90KBenefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Pension, Tuition ReimbursementMust have Skill Set: Custom Automated Machinery Design ExperienceOverview:We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in machine design, automation, and SolidWorks to support the development of custom automated machinery and manufacturing equipment.Job Duties: Design custom automated machinery and mechanical systems using SolidWorksCreate 3D models, detailed drawings, assemblies, and BOMsReview customer requirements and develop machine design solutionsSelect materials, components, and manufacturing processesIntegrate automation technologies including pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, conveyors, and servo-driven systemsSupport engineering calculations, component sizing, and design validation activitiesCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers throughout project executionSupport machine assembly, testing, troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning activitiesParticipate in design reviews and ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsIdentify opportunities for design improvements and continuous improvement initiativesAutomation equipment or custom machinery designRobotics, motion control, pneumatics, conveyors, or industrial automation systemsManufacturing, industrial equipment, or systems integration environmentsThis role is ideal for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks experience, and hands-on machine design experience.
