Staff Accountant - ManufacturingCompensation$30.00-$33.65 per hourFull-time, Temp-to-HireOnsite: NE PDXAbout My ClientMy client is a manufacturing organization seeking a Staff Accountant to support cost accounting, financial reporting, inventory functions, and cross‑functional operations. This role is onsite at my client's manufacturing facility and will work closely with leadership, operations, and accounting teams. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and transmit bank wire transactionsProcess Visa payments and reconcile merchant transmittalsProvide annual financial information for workers' compensation insurance renewalPrepare annual 1099, 1094C, and 1095C filingsPerform GL account reconciliations and create correction entriesSupport cost accounting activities, including variance monitoring and project cost trackingProvide tax‑related data to external accounting partners for annual returnsFile monthly workers' comp reports and assist with annual payroll auditsSubmit monthly Department of Labor reportingSend monthly bank balances and financial statements to parent organizationReconcile inter‑company accountsReview bank accounts and support banking‑related processesAssist AP/AR as needed, including reconciliations and cross‑department communicationPartner with inventory, purchasing, and operations to resolve discrepanciesHelp navigate customer portals (including SPS)Contribute to continuous improvement and month‑end close efficiency Requirements & Qualifications3-5 years of manufacturing or cost accounting experience requiredFull‑cycle accounting experience (minimum 5 years)Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptionsClear and professional written and verbal communication skillsCost accountingVariance analysisAbsorption/COGSMonth‑end closingFinancial reporting and GAAPStrong Excel skills (intermediate level)Ability to collaborate across departments and provide constructive operational feedbackAbility to work onsite full‑time and wear multiple hats as needed EducationAssociate degree in Accounting requiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
