Under the supervision of the Director of Housing and Transportation, the BHT is responsible for ensuring client safety, monitoring behavior, documenting observations, and maintaining a structured, supportive therapeutic environment.This role is ideal for individuals who are calm under pressure, strong problem-solvers, and interested in growing within the mental health field.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain continuous supervision and ensure a safe, therapeutic environmentProvide consistent support and model appropriate behavior for adult clientsMonitor, observe, and document client behavior and participationConduct client counts and maintain accurate documentationSupervise self-administered medications as directedAssist with implementation of daily and weekly residential structureComplete and submit incident reports and immediately notify leadership of safety concernsReport medical emergencies, elopements, or ACA incidents promptlyComplete end-of-shift reports via email to the DirectorOrient new admissions and complete residential intake documentationSearch new client belongings to prevent contraband entryConduct random residential searches for contrabandMonitor transitional living curfews and ensure rule complianceTransport clients to appointments, support groups, activities, and other facilities using company vehiclesAttend all staff meetings and mandatory trainingsFollow infection control, safety, and facility guidelines at all timesReport any illness or symptoms of contagious disease to leadershipKnowledge, Skills & TrainingAbility to interact professionally with clients and staffStrong crisis-management, decision-making, and stress-management skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment teamKnowledge of substance use disorders and their physical, emotional, and psychological impactAbility to recognize medical emergencies and take appropriate actionFamiliarity with emergency procedures, overdose response, First Aid, and CPRFlexibility to adapt to changing schedules and program needsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED (required)CPR Certification preferredPreferred (not required): 0–1 year of experience working in mental health, chemical dependency, psychiatric, residential, PHP, or outpatient settingsBenefitsPaid Time Off (PTO)Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceOpportunities for professional growth and advancementPowered by JazzHRPaJHb8ys7F
