Surgery Tech

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team. In a small critical access hospital, this role requires flexibility, independence, and the ability to support a variety of surgical cases with limited staff.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and availableSet up operating rooms according to procedure requirementsAssist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needsPosition patients and assist with surgical drapingOperate and troubleshoot basic surgical equipmentPerform instrument counts and ensure compliance with safety protocolsClean and restock operating rooms following proceduresAssist with inventory management and supply orderingSupport additional clinical duties as needed in a small hospital settingQualificationsCompletion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferredCertification (e.g., CST) preferred or required per facility policyKnowledge of sterile technique and surgical proceduresStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEqual Opportunity EmployerJ-18808-Ljbffr
