MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Takeuchi Mfg (US) Ltd, a global manufacturer of construction equipment, is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with PLC systems, industrial electrical work, and industrial painting to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and a high-quality product.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and facility systems
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar preferred)
Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, sensors, control panels, and wiring
Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals
Assist with basic PLC programming, modifications, and fault diagnostics
Consult/support production industrial painting with knowledge including:
Surface preparation (cleaning, sanding, masking)
Application of industrial coatings per specifications
Touch-ups and paint repair
Paint oven curing specifications
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and shutdown/startup activities
Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow CMMS procedures
Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements
Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and maintenance teams
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (technical certification or associate degree preferred)
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Strong knowledge of PLC systems and industrial automation
Solid understanding of industrial electrical systems (AC/DC, motors, VFDs, controls)
Experience with industrial painting in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
OSHA safety training or equivalent
Forklift, lift, or confined space certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments
Must be able to wear required PPE, including respirators
