Procurement Coordinator
Location: On-site Gardena, CA
Compensation:$22 to $27 per hour
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Coordinator to support daily purchasing operations for our Gardena facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in vendor communication, and ensures materials and services are sourced efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders
Track and manage order status, delivery timelines, and backorders
Maintain accurate vendor records, pricing, and contract information
Coordinate with internal departments (operations, production, accounting, etc.) to align purchasing needs
Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, and invoicing
Assist with sourcing new suppliers and obtaining competitive quotes
Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and standards
Prepare purchasing reports, data summaries, and spend analysis
Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement
Qualifications:
Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related support role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and vendor relationship skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work fully on-site in Gardena, CA
Preferred Skills:
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment
Knowledge of procurement best practices, materials management, and vendor negotiation
