For more information about ECCO Select, visit us at www.eccoselect.com.Position Title: SOA Systems Engineer (MQ)Location Information Hybrid Kansas City (Mon-Thu on-site, Fri remote), or fully remote within the United StatesPosition Responsibilities:As a SOA Systems Engineer, you will join a dedicated infrastructure team responsible for supporting IBM products and appliances, including DataPower, MQ, and IIB. These technologies are essential for managing authentication, authorization, API management, message translation, and message queueing services that underpin critical business systems in the banking and financial services industry. You will:Collaborate with various IT teams and stakeholders to support and deliver middleware technology services.Coordinate, escalate, resolve, and close IT service requests, incidents, and change management tasks assigned to the SOA Infrastructure team.Champion the triage and troubleshooting process for both production and non-production middleware/SOA infrastructures.Perform duties related to patching, software implementations, and system upgrades to ensure optimal platform performance and security.Support the architectural setup and configuration of platform components, adapting environments to meet business needs such as high transaction volume and reliability requirements.Participate in cross-functional projects or initiatives as assigned by IT leadership, always focusing on maximizing platform availability and minimizing business disruptions. Essential Skills, ExperienceMinimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a SOA infrastructure environment working with IBM technologies such as IIB, MQ, and DataPower.Proven experience in production support, including maintaining, patching, implementing, and upgrading middleware systems.Strong troubleshooting and triage skills relating to SOA and middleware technology stacks.Exposure to architectural design, with an understanding of the configuration and optimization of systems for robustness, reliability, and performance in high-demand transaction environments.Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional technical teams at all levels of the organization.Strong organizational skills to manage service requests, incidents, changes, and project assignments efficiently.Preferred Experience:Professional experience within the banking or financial services industries.Qualifications:Applicants must have legal authority to work in the United States.Work Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.ECCO Select is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
