Press Mechanic
Mechanically Inclined - 1st ShiftThis hands-on role combines press operation with strong mechanical responsibility, focusing on keeping production equipment running at peak performance. You will set up, operate, and fine-tune press and forming machinery while performing mechanical adjustments and basic maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This position works closely with production teams on the floor and is not a traditional maintenance department role, but rather a key operational role dedicated to uptime, quality, and continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate press and forming equipment in accordance with company standards and approved procedures.Perform machine changeovers and setups based on production requirements, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transitions.Maintain machinery in proper working condition through lubrication, cleaning, replacement of worn components, and tooling adjustments.Troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and accurately to reduce downtime and maintain production efficiency.Ensure all safety devices, guards, and controls are installed, functioning correctly, and used properly at all times.Monitor production output to maintain quality standards, identify issues early, and minimize scrap and rework.Use gauges, measuring devices, and inspection tools to verify that products meet required specifications and tolerances.Respond safely and effectively to jams, line stoppages, and mechanical problems, restoring equipment to operation promptly.Train and support operators and packers on proper machine operation, safety procedures, and best practices for efficiency.Recommend and communicate improvements to productivity, product quality, and equipment performance.Complete required documentation accurately, including inspection records, production reports, and any maintenance-related logs.Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.Shift/Pay/Additional Information:Shift: 1st shift40-45hrs a weekPay: $21.00 - $25.00/hr.Climate controlled facilityWeekly payJob Type & LocationThis is a permanent position based out of Bryan, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $52000.00/yr.Climate controlled facility 2.
