This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished goods, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing process.Typical DutiesPerform in-process and final inspections of products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standardsRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsUse measuring tools and equipment (e.g., CMM, Keyence IM systems, calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerancesDocument inspection results and maintain accurate quality recordsIdentify defects or nonconformities and report findings to production or quality leadershipAssist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actionsEnsure adherence to company quality policies and industry standardsSupport audits and quality improvement initiativesMaintain a clean and organized inspection areaWork with Production/Receiving Inspection/Purchasing when parts are found out of toleranceDocument results of inspections using First Article Report AS9102, customer-specific inspection documents, Fralock Dimensional Reports, copies of CMM reports or written results in the job orderCompare actual measurements to drawing tolerances using calibrated tools and inspection systemsIdentify, tag, and document nonconforming items, coordinate with Quality and Engineering for resolutionMaintain inspection tools in good condition, including verifying calibration stickersCapture and upload inspection photos, ballooned drawings, and other evidence into QMS/ERPOther duties as assigned, including working in other departmentsRequired SkillsPC literate (MS office 365) ERP/QMS data entry.Knowledge in blueprint reading and geometrical tolerances; use of hand-held inspection tools and templatesMinimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a controlled manufacturing environment (aerospace, medical, or equivalent).Good communication skills both oral and written; English language proficiency for technical documentation and communicationProficient in GD&TFamiliarity with measurement tools and inspection equipment (CMM, Keyence IM systems, calipers, micrometers, gauges)Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.Preferred SkillsFamiliar with CMM inspection and Statistical Process Control (SPC)Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS 9100 and/or ISO 13485 StandardEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalentExperience Requirements1 year or more experience in a quality inspection role in a manufacturing environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to multi-taskSitting/Walking/StandingLifting up to 30 lbs. at timesReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of a position.Fralock provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
