Shoe Department Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for driving sales, meeting customer needs, and contributing to a positive shopping experience. Duties Conduct product demos to educate customers on features and benefits Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems to efficiently process transactions Engage in retail sales by effectively communicating with customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns Perform basic and retail math calculations to provide accurate product information and quotes Handle cash and operate a cash register accurately and efficiently Demonstrate strong phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries and concerns Develop relationships with customers to build loyalty and encourage repeat business Identify opportunities to upsell and increase sales Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer needs and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Sell products to customers and maintain a high level of product knowledge Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous sales experience in a retail environment is preferred Ability to learn and understand product information Strong communication and interpersonal skills Basic math skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable and punctual Friendly and courteous demeanor Proficiency with POS systems Strong phone etiquette Ability to upsell and increase sales Excellent customer service skills Ability to sell products effectively Basic retail math skills Experience with cash handling Ability to work in a team environment Willingness to learn and adapt to new products and promotions Ability to meet performance goals and targets Friendly and helpful attitude towards customers Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays Ability to maintain a clean and organized store environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 – 42 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Shift: 8 hour shift Experience: Cash handling: 1 year (Required) Basic math: 1 year (Required) Phone etiquette: 1 year (Required) Ability to Relocate: Clarksville, IN 47129: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
