CNC Operator III Lead
Job DescriptionThe CNC Operator III Lead is primarily responsible for the setup and operation of CNC Machines in a safe and orderly manner while maximizing production output using efficient and effective methods. This role also serves as a group lead for all CNC machinists within the specified area.What You Will DoOperate and maintain multiple machines; troubleshoot programs and maintenance issues.Adjust offsets, edit programs, and review blueprints for accuracy.Inspect and document part quality; ensure safety compliance.Assist with programming, maintenance, and other production tasks.Lead, train, and mentor team members.Track material usage, minimize scrap, and maintain CNC records.Perform scheduled maintenance and keep machines clean.Report daily production and support quality, safety, and continuous improvement.Foster teamwork and address personnel issues under supervisor guidance.Escalate problems and perform other duties as assigned.What We Are Looking ForHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required: 6-8 years’ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Advanced manufacturing/machining training and/or advanced certification preferred.This position requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity to manipulate micrometers, calipers, and other precision hand tools.Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.CNC programming experience required.Additional CharacteristicsThis position may require standing for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.This position requires the ability to lift 30+ lbs. occasionally, 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly.This position may be exposed to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils.
