This contract position for a Special Education Teacher involves providing dedicated support to students within a resource room setting in Dearborn, MI. The role requires a professional committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and collaborating closely with general education teachers to meet the individual needs of special education students.Key Responsibilities:Case manage resource room students, ensuring individualized educational plans are effectively implemented.Collaborate with general education teachers to support and adapt instructional strategies for special education students.Deliver push-in or pull-out services tailored to each student's needs.Conduct student assessments, develop and write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and actively participate in IEP meetings.Qualifications:Experience in special education teaching, preferably within resource room settings.Strong knowledge of special education law and effective IEP development.Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Position Details:Location: Dearborn, MIContract duration: Immediate start through June 5, 2026Scheduled hours: 35 hours per week, typically 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional meetings outside regular hoursSingle campus assignment
