Located in Maumee, Ohio – a thriving community with affordable living and vibrant culture – you'll enjoy flexible schedules, paid certifications, and opportunities for growth.What You'll DoProgram 2D and 3D CNC machines using MasterCam CAM softwareCreate and modify tooling designs using SolidWorks CAD softwareReview drawings and specifications to determine cutting methods, tools, materials, and production stepsGenerate cutting programs from CAD filesPerform machining operations ensuring part accuracy and meeting production deadlinesProblem solve to decrease cycle times and improve setupsConsult with engineering on design for manufacturingStay up-to-date with new machining techniques and equipmentSafely run and maintain machines, troubleshoot issues, and assist in machine maintenanceInspect finished pieces with calibrated measuring toolsKeep work areas clean and organizedContribute to CNC production performance and assist with schedulingWhat You'll BringHigh School diploma or GED3+ years' experience as a machinist, with CAM programming and troubleshooting1+ years of MasterCam experience (or willingness to learn quickly)Trade school certificate or degree in CNC machining and programming (preferred)What We ValueExperience in automotive tooling or thermoforming manufacturing preferredDetail-oriented, organized, and a positive attitudeStrong communication and teamwork skillsKnowledge of shop math and material propertiesCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous learningMechanical aptitude and solid computer/software skillsDependable, flexible, with good attendance and time managementAble to frequently stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floorAble to lift between 10 and 50 poundsAlways adhere to safety policies and wear required PPEAbout GS EngineeringGS Engineering is a leader in thermoforming tooling manufacturing, producing high-quality tooling for grained soft-touch interior automotive components for major global manufacturers.
