Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Software Developer 3 (CMC/Red Hat/OpenShift) opportunity in Los Alamos, NM, to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory.Work Location: RemoteOrganization/Group: ADS-BADSSchedule: 5/8s M-F (MST)DutiesManage and direct the daily tasks required to perform ongoing support of activities of complex high technology systems or projectsRender expert opinions on engineering and technical issues, and provide recommendations to project teams in specific areas of expertiseProvide independent reviews and assessments in areas of specialized expertise and provide guidance to project teams in delivering results on projects of a complex high-technology natureInterface with management personnel and customer representativesDevelop and enforce work standards, assign schedules, review work quality, and communicate goals, objectives, and policies of the organization to subordinatesProvide leadership for the project team, coordinate with the functional organizations, and supervise senior personnel within the project organizationDeploy, configure, and maintain containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShiftInstall, configure, and support Strategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC) softwareIntegrate CMC components within OpenShift-based infrastructurePerform system tuning, patching, upgrades, and operational supportTroubleshoot deployment, configuration, and runtime issues across the stackCollaborate with technical teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and complianceMentor LANL staff on OpenShift operations, including best practices for deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting (“care and feeding” of container platforms)Develop and maintain clear technical documentation and knowledge transfer materialsQualificationsBS/BA degree in Engineering, Science, or Business ManagementSeven (7) years of directly applicable experience acknowledged as an expert in this fieldKubernetes or Open Hat certificationsDemonstrated hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (deployment, administration, and operations)Proven experience installing and configuring Strategy Customer Managed Cloud (CMC) softwareStrong understanding of containerization, Kubernetes concepts, and platform operationsExperience with Linux system administrationAbility to work independently in a remote environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to effectively mentor and transfer knowledgePreferred QualificationsExperience using OpenShift and Strategy CMC together in a production environmentPrior work in DOE, federal, or other government-regulated environmentsFamiliarity with security, compliance, and configuration management requirements in regulated systemsOther Job RequirementsUnited States CitizenshipDOE Q Security Clearance preferred but not required.If you are interested in being considered for this position and your resume clearly outlines your relevant experience for this position, please follow the application steps via our website: www.edgewatertech.net/careersEdgewater will not submit your resume without first having detailed discussions with you and obtaining your permission to do so.
