Financial Analyst - Employee Benefits & Healthcare Data

We’re hiring a Financial Analyst at LHD Benefit Advisors in Indianapolis. The Financial Analyst supports employee benefits consulting teams through advanced financial modeling, healthcare claims analysis, and strategic reporting. This role focuses on translating complex medical and pharmacy data into clear, defensible recommendations that inform employer benefit strategy. The work extends beyond reporting and requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and accountability for accuracy. What you’ll do: Analyze healthcare claims and utilization trends across client populations Build financial models to evaluate plan design and cost impact Lead benchmarking and strategic reporting efforts Manage stop loss coordination and underwriting processes Support and evaluate RFPs from carriers and vendors Negotiate rates and recommend benefit programs based on data-driven insights Develop client-facing reports and presentations Maintain strong client relationships through ongoing support and analysis What we’re looking for: 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar analytical role Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, insurance, or related field Strong Excel skills with experience building models and working with large datasets Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Confidence working directly with clients and vendors Indiana Life & Health license, or ability to obtain within one year Why LHD: We’ve been named a Best Places to Work for 11 consecutive years, driven by a culture that values performance, respect, and accountability. Employees must be available to work on-site up to five days per week as business needs require. Candidates must already be able to reliably commute to the office.
