Job TitleMaterials Process OperatorJob SummaryThe Materials Process Operator is responsible for producing high-quality ceramic powders by operating both manual and semi-automated equipment. This role supports consistent production by following standardized processes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring product quality and safety standards are met.Key ResponsibilitiesFollow all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures and identify opportunities to improve workplace safetyPerform equipment startups, shutdowns, and product changeovers within standardized production processesOperate manual and semi-automated equipment used in material processingTroubleshoot routine production issues and implement appropriate solutionsExecute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with documented proceduresFollow detailed work instructions and product specifications, including occasional non-routine processing stepsConduct in-process quality checks to ensure product standards are metCollaborate with team members to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and production stagesSafely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to transport materials within the facilityMaintain a clean and organized work area in alignment with 6S standardsTrack and manage inventory, raw materials, and production supplies accuratelyRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentBasic reading and math skillsAbility to complete required training programsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructionsBasic mechanical aptitude, including the use of hand and power toolsAbility to communicate clearly and work effectively within a teamComfortable using technology, including touch-screen systems and basic software applicationsStrong time management skills and ability to meet production targetsPreferred Qualifications1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environmentForklift operation experienceExperience working with semi-automated or automated machineryWork Environment / ScheduleAbility to lift up to 60 lbsFrequent climbing of stairs and use of ladders during shiftsWork performed in varying temperature conditions, including hot and cold environmentsExposure to dust, moisture, and other typical manufacturing conditionsCompensationHourly range: $20.78 - $25.16, based on experience, skills, and qualifications
