Whether guiding clients through complex tax strategies or mentoring the next generation of CPAs, we approach every challenge with a solutions-first mindset.Role Overview:We are seeking an experienced Pension Administrator with strong technical expertise in ASC software, plan valuations, and nondiscrimination testing to support a growing client base of small-to-mid-sized retirement plans.This is a high-impact, client-facing role working closely with actuaries and plan sponsors on funding strategy, compliance, and plan design.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan Valuations & AdministrationPrepare and review annual Defined Benefit and Cash Balance plan valuations using ASCReconcile census data, assets, and plan provisionsCalculate funding requirements, actuarial liabilities, and contribution rangesSupport takeover plans and data conversionsCompliance & TestingPerform nondiscrimination testing including:401(a)(4)410(b)Top-heavy testingDB/DC cross-testingEnsure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulationsPrepare and review plan documents, amendments, and restatementsGovernment FilingsPrepare and/or review:Form 5500 & Schedule SBPBGC premium filingsAnnual Funding NoticesForm 8955-SSAClient ConsultingCommunicate directly with plan sponsors regarding:Funding strategiesPlan design optionsContribution scenariosPresent valuation results clearly and professionallyPartner with enrolled actuaries on complex casesRequired Qualifications5+ years of Defined Benefit (DB) pension administration experienceHands-on experience with ASC software (required)Strong experience with:DB valuationsCash balance plansNondiscrimination / cross-testingExperience preparing Form 5500, Schedule SB, and PBGC filingsSolid understanding of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulationsClient-facing communication experiencePreferredExperience with DB/DC combo plansExposure to plan design, conversions, or terminationsProgress toward actuarial exams (a plus, not required)Why Join VFG Advisory LLC?:· Competitive Compensation· 401(k) with Matching· Great Benefits Package· Paid Time Off + Summer Fridays· Continuing Professional Education Support· Professional Dues Reimbursement· Positive, Collaborative Work Environment· No Required Travel· Exposure to High Net Worth and Complex ClientsGrowth Opportunities within a Full-Service CPA & Advisory FirmBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
