Role: Azure Cloud EngineerDuration: 5+ MonthsLocation: Hybrid - Must be in office 2 days a week at any local Deloitte office.Client- DeloitteJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, networking, security, governance, and FinOps functions across Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, CI/CD automation, cloud networking, security, governance, infrastructure as code, and cost management. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, and security teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and support Azure cloud solutions using platform services and infrastructure automation.Build and maintain cloud environments using ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.Develop and manage deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.Support cloud networking components, including virtual networks, routing, DNS, load balancing, and connectivity patterns.Apply cloud security and governance best practices across Azure environments.Partner with teams to ensure cloud usage aligns with FinOps principles and cost optimization goals.Use scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python to automate operational and engineering tasks.Troubleshoot and resolve platform, deployment, networking, and application issues in a timely manner.Support monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities across cloud workloads.Document designs, standards, operational procedures, and support runbooks.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet performance, reliability, and compliance expectations.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.Proficiency in IaC tools such as ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.Strong understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost management.Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell and/or Python.Experience with cloud networking concepts and Azure networking services.Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and governance.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsAzure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.Exposure to containerization technologies such as AKS and Docker.Experience with serverless architectures such as Azure Functions or Logic Apps.Prior experience supporting security and governance compliance requirements.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.Strong communication and documentation skills.
