Software Engineer Manager, Node Performance

Overview In this role, you drive design and analysis of compute systems and their interactions with kernel, hardware, and cluster software. You partner with technical leaders to shape a roadmap and steer execution across cross-functional initiatives. You’ll lead high-impact projects within Google Compute Infrastructure and build a healthy, collaborative team culture focused on reliability, efficiency, and scale. You work to deliver next-generation compute products and optimize fleet-wide performance, making a measurable impact at scale. This position blends technical leadership with people leadership to guide complex, multi-team programs.
