Adjunct UAS InstructorSUMMARY OF THE JOB:Instruct students in all subjects required for UAS Associate's degree, FAA Part 107certification, and relevant industry certifications.ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS:Conduct lectures and demonstrations in assigned subject areasLead, supervise, and assist students with practical skill projectsEvaluate student performance of content knowledge and practical skillsRecord all grades and submit final course grades to the registrarTrack attendance and submit to the registrarMaintain FAA Part 107 certificationAll other duties, as assignedOTHER FUNCTIONS:* All full-time faculty are required to participate in the Universitycommencement ceremonies, to include wearing regalia from thecollege/university of which the degree was received. (Twice yearly-Spring andFall, Saturdays)* Partner with the Program Chair for continual course improvement* Participate in departmental meetings and scheduled faculty developmentsPROFESSIONAL/PUBLIC ACTIVITES:* Participation in the Hallmark Character program.* Participation in one of the 'Big 4' community eventsKNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ABILITIES:* Aviation industry knowledge (ex., Regulations, Physics for Aviation,Interpretation of Sectional Charts, etc.)* Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook* Strong communication skills including the ability to speak to groupsQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:PREFERRED-* Master's Degree with a concentration in Aviation, or commitment to attain* Relevant industry certifications (ex., Aerial Photography, Mapping, Search andRescue, etc.)* Experience directly related to UAS* Instructor experience a plusREQUIRED-FAA Part 107 certificateBachelor's degree with a concentration in AviationFour years' experience in the Aviation industry1-3 years' experience with UASAbout Hallmark UniversityHallmark University is a nonprofit university offering degrees in Aviation Maintenance, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business, and Nursing.
