Description:About the roleTemperature Specialists, Inc. is a manufacturer of custom, high-accuracy temperature sensors used in industrial and laboratory applications worldwide. We are hiring a Wire Harness Assembler to join our Leads Department — a team of 4 to 7 assemblers responsible for producing the precision wire lead assemblies that go into every sensor we make.In this production assembly role, you will cut, strip, twist, tin, and solder individual wire leads using both automated equipment and hand tools, and perform close detail work under a microscope. The wire lead assemblies you produce feed directly into our downstream sensor assembly departments. This is steady, focused work that rewards people who take pride in consistent, accurate output. No prior experience is required — we provide comprehensive in-house training. A background in assembly, electronics, wire work, or any detail-oriented manufacturing is a plus.What you'll doRead and interpret blueprints, work orders, and assembly instructions to produce wire leads accurately to specificationOperate wire stripping machines to strip leads to specified lengths and configurationsCut wires to specified lengths using hand tools and cutting equipmentTwist and tin wire leads by hand and with tooling to prepare them for soldering and assemblyPerform soldering operations to join wire leads and sensor components, producing clean, reliable connections to quality standardsPerform close detail work under a microscope to inspect and assemble small wire lead componentsUse dimensional measuring equipment to verify wire and component specificationsInspect finished wire lead assemblies for quality and consistency before handoff to downstream departmentsDocument production output and log completed work orders; maintain a clean and organized work areaWork collaboratively within the Leads Department team to meet daily production goalsWhat we're looking forGood fine motor skills and manual dexterity — you'll be working with small wire components and hand tools throughout your shiftAbility to perform sustained close-focus work, including under a microscopeStrong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to quality in a production environmentAbility to read and follow blueprints, work orders, and written assembly instructions accuratelyCollaborative attitude and comfort working within a larger teamPrior experience in assembly, wire harness work, electronics assembly, or soldering is preferred but not required — all technical skills are developed through our in-house training programA note on the workThis role is a good fit for someone who likes focused, hands-on work and finds satisfaction in producing something tangible and precise.
