The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a competitive girls wrestling program while promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes.ResponsibilitiesOrganize and lead all aspects of the girls wrestling program.Plan and conduct effective practices that develop individual and team skills.Instruct athletes on proper techniques, conditioning, and safety.Promote good sportsmanship and positive representation of the school and community.Coordinate schedules, transportation, and communication with the athletic director.Ensure compliance with school, conference, and state athletic association regulations.Work collaboratively with school staff, administration, and parents.Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team events.QualificationsPrevious wrestling coaching or competitive wrestling experience preferred.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.Must hold or be able to obtain required coaching authorization/licensure in the state of Iowa.Must complete required background checks and district trainings.It is the policy of the Graettinger-Terril Community School District not to illegally discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, religion, creed, age (for employment), marital status (for programs), sexual orientation, gender identity, and socioeconomic status (for programs) in its educational programs and its employment practices.
