Field Hardware Operations Technician

Field Hardware Operations Technician Treeswift is looking for a hands-on Field Hardware Operations Technician based in San Francisco to support the deployment, maintenance, and reliability of AI-powered field systems operating across major utility environments.As Treeswift scales from pilot deployments into operational fleet deployments, hardware reliability becomes critical. This role will directly impact system uptime, deployment velocity, and customer success across some of the largest utilities in the country. This role sits at the intersection of hardware operations, field deployment, and customer support.What You'll Do: Support operational uptime of deployed field systems across major utility environments throughout California.Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our hardware systems daily across wildfire-prone utility infrastructureFollow diagnostic checklists and resolve issues before they escalateCommunicate directly with utility staff in a professional, customer-facing capacityCoordinate with our engineering team to flag recurring issues and share field feedbackWho You Are: You enjoy working hands-on with hardware systems in real-world environmentsYou have hands-on experience with tools and electronicsYou're detail-oriented and methodical — you follow a process and don't cut cornersYou're a strong communicator — you're comfortable communicating with customers on site and internal technical teamsBased in San Francisco with personal vehicle and a consistent record of dependability/punctuality.
