Apply via Dice today!Our healthcare client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst / Senior Accountant to join their team in support of a large-scale Workday implementation. This role is a backfill position and will play a critical part in supporting financial reporting, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements throughout the duration of the program. This is a high-visibility role working closely with finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive insights, ensure financial accuracy, and support enterprise-wide decision-making.This is a long-term, contract opportunity that would begin in June 2026.Key ResponsibilitiesLead analytical support for long-term strategic programs, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned initiativesPartner with stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, and timelines; manage work to meet expectationsPerform complex financial analyses, including preparation and review of:Journal entriesAccount reconciliationsMonthly, quarterly, and annual close activitiesAnalyze general ledger accounts, cost centers, grants, and special funds to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reasonablenessIdentify trends, variances, and risks; present findings and recommendations to senior leadershipSupport operating budget development and provide insights into financial performanceLead ad hoc projects focused on improving hospital operations and financial outcomesPrepare and review financial and statistical reports for:Monthly closeQuarterly reviewsYear-end auditsRegulatory and grant reporting (including federal agencies and donors)Maintain and organize supporting documentation for audits and financial reporting cyclesGuide department leaders in leveraging financial insights to drive action plans and performance improvementsMentor junior team members and support development of analytical and reporting capabilitiesCollaborate cross-functionally to foster a positive and high-performing team environmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong experience in healthcare finance, accounting, or hospital financial operationsExperience supporting or working alongside Workday Financials implementations is highly preferredAdvanced knowledge of:Financial reporting and general ledger analysisBudgeting and forecastingAudit preparation and compliance reportingDemonstrated ability to perform complex, enterprise-level analysis and translate findings into actionable insightsProven ability to influence and communicate with senior stakeholdersStrong leadership and mentorship capabilitiesProactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiencyAdvanced Excel and financial systems proficiencyTo learn more about this and other positions, contact Alyssa Eilers at or .
