About the Role Under the direction of the Lead Software Developer, the Software Developer 2 will play a key role in the continued development and enhancement of our applications. A developer at this level has become more skilled and proficient in application development and design, expanding beyond a single scope to gain a deeper understanding of complex system architecture. This role will contribute to the success of cross‑functional initiatives, bringing technical insight, problem‑solving capabilities, and consistent follow‑through to drive quality solutions forward.What You'll DoUtilize C#/.NET Core, SQL database, TypeScript with React and Microsoft AzureAdd new features to the product and improve existing functionality through clean, well‑documented codeWrite tests and documentation to keep up with an evolving codebaseProactively update lead developer(s) on status and elevate when appropriateRecognize patterns or issues in existing code and propose refactoringInteract with the full tech stack, from the database to the UI and application integrations with other solutionsAssist in the estimation of high‑level requirements and define tasks during the planning process alongside senior developers, project managers and business analystsInterface with QA and Support teams or other internal stakeholders, troubleshooting defects, workflows, and client issuesHelp junior team members and new hiresAdhere to DevOps best practicesStay informed of new technologies or industry trends that may be considered for implementationTravel to orientation, conferences or company events, and other onsite meetings as requiredPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsA degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experienceSoftware development experience in JS, SQL, and an OO language, preferably C#Knowledge of basic application design and architectureUnderstanding of relational database principles and how to use themFamiliarity with Microsoft Azure or other server and hosting environments and deploymentAbility to explain decisions made in the development processAbility to define test cases and write code with them in mindStrong attention to detail and ability to identify quality codeStrong communication skills, written and verbal, and a willingness to give and receive constructive feedbackAn insatiable curiosity and drive to learnAbility to work both independently and on a team toward a collective goalStrong work ethic, integrity, honesty, collaboration and team orientationAbility to travel up to 10% annuallyLocation & Remote Work This role can be performed 100% virtually anywhere in the United States, in accordance with our Remote Work Policy. A deadline to apply is at least three days after the posting date listed.Salary The annual base salary range for this full‑time role is $80,000 – $95,000 USD, plus bonus, benefits, perks and community gains.
