This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate regulatory requirements while ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage solicitations (RFQs, bids, RFPs), including pre-bid meetings, addenda, and evaluationsNegotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendorsDraft, review, and finalize a variety of agreements (purchase, consulting, subcontract, licensing, etc.)Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local procurement laws and policiesEvaluate suppliers and monitor product/service qualityCollaborate with Finance, Legal, and Risk teams on contract terms and requirementsServe as a resource for staff and stakeholders on procurement processes and regulationsMaintain detailed procurement records, reports, and documentationIdentify cost-saving opportunities and process improvementsManage vendor relationships and support procurement card (P-card) administrationPreferred ExperiencePublic sector or government procurement experienceExperience with contract lifecycle management and complianceFamiliarity with procurement systems or ERP platformsExperience leading or supporting bid processes and vendor evaluationsSkills & AbilitiesStrong negotiation and contract management skillsAbility to analyze market data and pricing trendsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsHigh attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesWorking ConditionsPrimarily sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and light liftingFrequent computer use and repetitive motion
